Description
This cross, of local epidiorite, was moved here from Barnakill (1821E 6915N) in 1928. It has a deeply grooved cross and a Latin inscription with damaged first letter. The script is half-uncial. Several readings have been offered including [X]RI RE[?I]TON meaning "(In the name) of Christ. Re[i]ton".

Near the site where Barnakill Cross was found, there remains a small and primitive cross carved into the natural rock of the ground.

This small cross is viewed against the W wall of the chapel.

Access/Ownership
Although this is still an active Episcopalian church, it is on private ground and permission should be sought
